| Golden Donut has developed the best thaw-and-sell donut program in the industry. Don Baker and Hoyt Haynie were associated with Krispy Kreme for a number of years. In 1989, Don bought Golden Donut and produced retail and wholesale donuts on a limited local basis. In 1996, Hoyt joined Don to assist him in sales. Today, Golden Donut can produce up to 600 dozen donuts per hour and has on-site freezer capacity for up to 3,000 cases.
Some of the distributors we currently partner with include Associated Grocers of the South, Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG), C&S Wholesale Grocers, Colorado Boxed Beef, W. Lee Flowers Company, Food Lion/J.H. Harvey's, Forrest City Grocers, Kroger-Atlanta, Laurel Grocery Company, Merchants Distributors Inc. (MDI), Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Company, Southeast Frozen Foods, and SuperValu, among others.
Golden Donut also exports to Southeast Asia and is developing partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Our product line includes thaw-and-sell yeast-raised glazed donuts and a variety of cake donuts. We also offer thaw-and-finish unglazed yeast-raised donuts and cake donuts for in-store heat-and-glaze operations.
